Applicable Models: Archer BE800v1 and v1.6

Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20240227

Recently, a new firmware was made available for the Archer BE800. The firmware aims to fix some of the community’s reported behavior and even adds probably THE most requested feature, Wired Backhauls for EasyMesh Connections.

This update introduces EasyMesh Ethernet backhaul and 6GHz backhaul, bug fixes related to the Samsung S24 Ultra, and security updates for the Router.

Included in the Update were the Following Fixes and Features:

Newly Added Support For EasyMesh Ethernet (Wired) Backhaul and 6GHz Backhaul

  • Ensure to Update Both Your Main and Satellite EasyMesh Routers
  • Connecting an Existing Easymesh(Wireless) Satellite Router with an Ethernet Cable will allow the satellite to automatically use the Ethernet Backhaul
  • For New Satellite Routers, Connect the Satellite to the LAN Port of the Main Router. Your Satellite will be automatically configured, and you can freely move it to where you need it.
  • Learn More about the Feature in our KB on Wired EasyMesh Backhauls

Fixed Reported Behaviors with Samsuiung 24 Ultra, Which Resulted in Crashing and Reboot Cycles

Fixed a few Reported Bugs, Such As Guest Wi-Fi Buttons, Abnormal Tether Traffic Statistics, etc.

  • If you have reported or spotted a bug, let us know if the behavior was fixed in this update.

Fixed Reported Behavior Regarding MLO Wi-Fi when Set to Use the Same SSID as Main Wi-Fi (Caused Random Roaming, Leading to a Crash or Router Reboot)

  • We still recommend setting the MLO Wi-Fi to use a different SSID from the Main Network, and Only Connect MLO-Compatible (Wi-Fi 7) Devices to the Network.
