I installed this firmware. Do you know if WiFi 7 MLO should connect to 5 GHz and 6 GHz at the same time?

Please inform me. So i know what to look for. And if required, contact Samsung with my findings.

Samsung S24 Ultra 1 may 2024 updates still does not connect more than one WiFi 7 band.

Meaning, MLO does not work.

TP-Link is wrong?
Samsung is wrong?

Anyone from TP-Link can answer my question please?

Still no MLO connection. Only 5GHz or 6 GHz.

The newly released acer DOT com/acerwave7 says it can only do 2.4 + 5.0 OR 2.4 + 60 GHz MLO.

I am guessing the TP-Link uses the same or similar chips. So we and/or TP-Link have been fooled by marketing.

Did you enable the MLO network in the setting? 

Then you get to choose which bands to include in the MLO network. In my case, BE550/BE9300, it supports MLO in 5GHz and 6GHz bands. 

You also need a Wifi 7 compatible devices to use it, too. I see you have S24Ultra. I have one, too, but I live in a country where wifi 7 hasn't been approved yet. My S24Ultra firmware is locked at Wifi6E so right now I disabled the MLO network.

It seems only:
2.4 + 5 GHz
OR
2.4 + 6 GHz
can be used as MLO

You can indeed select 5 + 6 GHz in the settings.

But the Samsung S24 Ultra usually only connects to 6 GHz then.

Sometimes also 5 GHz. But never are 5 + 6 GHz both shown as Associated. Only one at the time, as the first screenshot shows.

When selecting 2.4 + 5 + 6 GHz, then:
Link 0: Associated 2.4 GHz
Link 1: Unassociated 5 GHz
Link 2: Associated 6 GHz

But this is very unstable and keeps losing connection almost directly.

Didn't test this for a long time, but this is with the latest firmware.

  @5Guru The connection also depends on the receiving devices, too. In this case it's the S24Ultra. Having 3 bands in MLO doesn't necessarily mean it will connect to all of the bands at all time. To over simplified things, an antenna can send/receive a radio signal of a specific frequency for a period of time, meaning one antenna could work with single frequency, or switch between frequencies supported by the connected circuit if designed to. Now that BE800 has many antennas. Each of them could be programmed to operate in a specific frequency simultaneously. For example, 2 for 6GHz, 2 for 5GHz, and 1 for 2.4GHz given MLO is enabled. No one except TP-Link folks know about this algorithm.

Now come back to S24Ultra phone, I'm too lazy to research how many antennas the S24U has, but let's say it's got 2 antennas. The phone software could also programmed to operate at most 2 frequencies in multi-link operation, at any given time, too. See where I'm going now?

I heard the BE800 firmware is very problematic. My smaller BE550 as well unfortunately. They seem to have similar (same actually) bugs. I'm guessing both model firmwares are from the same based firmware TP-link used internally. So it could be the BE800's faulty firmware, or the S24U's radio module designs, etc. You may need to confirm with TP-link support or engineers regarding the above info.

The only way to know is to find another Wifi 7 MLO enabled routers to try on with the same app you were using. I wish you good luck in the research. If it's not too much would you come back and update about the findings? I'm a little disappointed in BE550, so maybe I would switch to something else in the future.
