Totally wasted a lot of money on a Deco E4. My objective was to get wifi to my tv on the patio. Just bought a new E4. My inet modem comes in away from the patio. So I put the main modem there, with on in between, and the 3rd on the patio, simple, right. The one on the patio refuses to connect to the one in between, only will connect to the main unit. This gives me NO wifi to the patio. A complete effing waste of money. All the Deco responses say this is how it was designed. What part of mesh do you not understand???

  @Jgbjgb Yes, I have even deleted the whole network and started from scratch. This is a very poorly designed system. Never again.

  @Jgbjgb The third Deco does not offer wifi in the patio?

One thing worth trying would be to set up a Preferred Signal Source for your third Deco node. Check out our FAQ here on how to use this feature.

 

Please note that not all Deco models support this feature, and some may require a firmware update to do so.

  @yves_b No, because the 3rd unit only wants to connect to the main unit, which is too far away. The 2nd unit is MUCH closer, but the satelites will only connect to the main. I have an E4 system, my understanding is you can do this with the M5, but not the E4 and others.

I have a new E4, which doesn't support that feature.
