Recently purchased Archer T3U Plus AC1300 USB adapter from Amazon and installation of drivers in not successful. Laptop is HP Pavilion running Windows 8.1.

Downloaded official driver from TP-Link support website.

link is: Archer T3U Plus(US)_V1.6_win8.1_191204

Downloaded and extract ZIP file as:

Archer T3U PLUS (EUUS)_V1_win8.1_191204

Setup installation runs to completion and says "Success," however Device Manager shows error installing one of the drivers:

@Chet_Myerson Make sure your Windows 8.1 is fully updated. Sometimes there are issues with network adapters and version of Windows that aren't fully up to date.
