Hi,

Asking for help on how to Isolate a device that is connected via hardwire to one of the X20 wireless module.

I have  TP-Link  Deco X20 Wifi 6 Mesh Router, AX1800 Whole Home Wifi System (6 wires units)

One of the wireless unit is in my garage. It  provides wireless internet or wiresless connection garage door opener and EV car charger and other amazon smart speakers. The unit is  also hardwired via a network cable  to a solar inverter for output monitoring.

How can I isolate the wired  device only?

thank you

Hi @charley-TX,

Welcome to the community.

To isolate a client device in your Deco Mesh Network, you'll want to open the Deco app and:

1. At the network screen, scroll down to "Online Clients"

2. Select "Main"

3. Identify the wired device (e.g., via MAC Address/IP Address)

4. Once identified, tap the wired device

5. Scroll down to find "Device Isolation" and select it

6. Enable Device Isolation by tapping the toggle switch in this menu and confirm/acknowledge the message that appears

Done! Your device is now isolated from the LAN. It can still access the Internet, and with other Isoalted Devices; however, it cannot commnicate with other devices on the Main Network.
