Model: Deco BE85
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.19 Build 20240719 Rel. 42399

Our 3 set Dece BE85 (wired backhaul) utilizes 160Mhz on UNII-1 / UNII-2A right now. The problem is that channel 44 (for 160Mhz, really, channels 36-64) is very crowded here,

while 100 would be much better to use.

My previous router enabled me to select 100 - I know Deco doesn't allow channel selection but is it capable of using 100-144? Would an "optimization" have it analyze my spectrum and select it or is the Deco limited to the lower band channels?

Also, is Itpmization for 5Ghz (and 2.4) happening at regular intervals or only during setup and when I manually start the process?

Thx

  @Kyne in the Deco app, click on WiFi Settings>2.4 GHz & 5 GHz Network>Advanced>Channel Width for 5 GHz, and select 240 MHz and then Apply. You will get the DFS channels 100 and higher after that.

Thank you! I see.! With 240Mhz - since it needs to be contiguous space - it would 'have' to use 100 (-132), right? IF Radar was detected and the scope gets reduced 'back' to 160Mhz, from your experience, will it stay on 100+ (but 4 channels now) or go back to the lower band? Thanks again

  @Kyne

It looks like it gets bumped to 80MHZ
