Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.8 Build 20240723 Rel. 26458

Recently bought pair of new BE65 Decos. Problem is that they are blocking access to some random sites. Mesh is connected to "Huawei CPE PRO 2" 5G mobile router in bridge mode. Internet speed constantly around 600M/150M.

Good example is Asus download link which always get timeout: (*link to Asus Armoury Crate download page removed*)

Some sites keep loading, then get timeout and then immediately load the page correctly. Really frustrating to browse Internet when many pages load forever.

  • I have tested this with one desktop PC (Windows11, wired connection), one HP laptop (Windows 11, WiFi) and one Dell laptop (Windows10, WifF). Results are the same always.
  • If I remove BE65 Decos and connect PC directly to 5G router, I can access everything normally.
  • If I make my mobile phone to act as WiFi accesspoint and connect my PC there, everything works normally.
  • I earlier had TP-Link AV1300 Powerline adapters instead of Decos, with them everything works normally.

So we can confirm that issue happens only with BE65, no matter which device or connection method.

I even did some Wireshark tracing when trying to identify the issue.

Fail (Using BE65, not getting any response from *.43):

a43c0a0310184025aa465a2684c4e940

Success (Using anything else than BE65):

130ba31c68784dcfb653719553c19e79

Any ideas how to fix?

@penak I'm also seeing the same thing, some services are fine but then others are just either taking a very long time to establish a connection or just not loading at all. Only started since the firmware update

Managed to enable IPv6 which mitigates the problem. Some sites are now much more responsive.

If it's related to latest firmware, would be interesting to downgrade and test again. Might try it later.
