Previously Reported Models:

Deco E4, Deco M5, Deco M9 Plus, Deco X20, Deco XE75 and Deco BE63

Update: All affected models listed in this announcement have received official firmware updates to address this phenomenon. Please see the chart below for more details.

Hi Deco users,

We have received reports from users that when satellite Deco units are connected using Ethernet cables, devices are unable to connect to the Guest Network through these satellites. Users receive the error message "Couldn't get IP address."

In contrast, devices can successfully connect to the Guest Network of the main Deco. Additionally, after disconnecting the Ethernet cable from the satellite unit, devices can connect to the satellite Deco's Guest Network without any issues.

If you have experienced this anomaly, please feel free to leave a comment, including the model number, hardware version, and firmware version of your Deco.

Some users have confirmed that restarting the ISP modem after enabling the Guest Network resolves the reported issue.

In the meantime, the following firmware versions are also provided as a temporary workaround if restarting the modem does not help:

Deco M4_V1/V2 1.7.0_Official and above
Deco M5 1.7.8_Official and above
Deco M9 Plus 1.6.5_Official and above
Deco BE11000/BE63_V2 1.1.0_Official and above

Note: Pre-release and Beta firmware should be used at your own discretion. We cannot guarantee the functionality of features or technical support for Pre-Release or Beta Firmware.
