Unable to add Arlo security system to new Deco network...

I recently purchased the new Deco BE68 Wi-Fi 7 system. I have wired my Arlo VMB5000 base station to the main Deco router via ethernet port which is required for the Arlo Ultra 2 security cameras to connect to internet. The Deco app shows that it is connected to the Internet, but when I try to add the base station to the Arlo app, it's not discovered.

I had no issues connecting using my previous Orbi router. I have tried nearly everything to troubleshoot, but to no avail. TP Link and Arlo tech support over the phone have not been able to help either. I was very excited to try this new system to support my recent upgrade to fiber optic 2.5 GB speed, but perhaps it is still too new and the bugs haven't been worked out yet.

Does anyone have any tips or ideas that could help resolve my issue? Otherwise, I'll have no choice but to return the system.

Have you tried turning off 5g in the deco app?
Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? Router or AP mode? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1

  @UFsouthernbelle

Welcome to the community.

My apologies if you've already covered some of these steps with Arlo support, but figured I'd ask, just in case.

1. When connecting the base station to your network, please ensure you establish the Ethernet connection before the base station is turned on.

2. Is your mobile device connected to a VPN while attempting to onboard the base station?

3. Are you using a Google Pixel? I think they might have a built-in VPN.

4. Have you tried powering down all Decos except the main node when attempting to onboard the base station via the Arlo app?

That said, what kind of Arlo devices/cameras are you using? Do they need the base station to work, or do they support connecting directly to a router's Wi-Fi network? If the latter, you may be able to bypass using the base station (if inclined) and connect the cameras directly to the Deco's Wi-Fi network.
