I got a router because mine won't turn on and have to wait to till next week for windstream to send another. My router refusing to connect to the internet. I can connect to it but it has no internet.

Are you connecting to their modem? What router was connected before?

When connecting a new router to a modem, you will note that the instructions say to power off the modem during the process. This forces the ISP to reestablish the connection as sometimes a new router will not get an IP from the modem.
