I installed a tapo c402 kit to monitor my pool area when I am not home. It was working very well for about a month. Suddenly, the camera has disappeared from the app.

 

I have disconnected it from the solar panel and brought it inside to charge via the usb cord it came with. When plugging in initially, the camera blinks red very fast for about 20 to 30 seconds. It then suddenly stops and nothing else happens. When i push the power button, nothing happens. I have also held the power button for approximately 3 to 5 seconds, and still nothing happens. 

I have tried to reset the camera by pushing a pin into the reset on the back of the camera. The camera does not respond in any manner. 

 

I have tried to find trouble shooting information for this issue but have found nothing online that has fixed it thus far. 

 

What steps can I take from here to remedy this issue?

Hi,
If you can't power on the camera and it does not respond when pressing the reset button for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset, you can contact our local support to check if the camera is under warranty.

  @Solla-topee I have had the same problem you are describing.  Now 2 times.  Disappears from app (I have 2 connected and other one shows) I cannot turn off or reset.  Called Tapo CS and initiated return; and awaiting new camera.  Has just happened on 2 nd camera only installed a week.   Worse yet woke and still alarm was going offf.  Could not turn off or reset.  Because of alarm noise covered speaker holes with tape and waiting for battery to funndry.  Both of these cams are part of a 3 cam solar system.  First experience with realibility of TAPO CAMERA is not good. So far this product cannot be trusted
