Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Version: 1.1.19 Build 250320 Rel 42136n

I have the D225 video doorbell (hardwired) which I am using the AI modes to detect person, pet, vehicle.  The issue I am having is that it does not detect my car pulling into the driveway at night.  I reviewed the continuous recording and there is a click when the car starts pulling in and another when the car is in the garage.  What seems to be happening is that the camera has switched to night mode (which is correct), but when the headlights hit the sensor, it changes to day mode and back to night mode after the car is in the garage.  During this switching, it does not detect the vehicle.  I'm sure I am not the onlt person with this issue.  One potential solution would be to allow scheduling of day mode and night mode in the app.  Is this something that can be done or is there another solution in the works?

Thanks.

  @Coachcr Update!!! Last night I forced the camera to night mode when we left the house.  When we came back, it did NOT detect the car at all.  So my previous thesis may not be the only issue.  I had previously turned sensitivity for car detection to 10, highest setting.  It's like the car lights blind the device, so it doesn't detect.  I'm at a loss, but this device is no good without being able to detect at night.  Why is it not detecting my car in night mode after dark?

  @Coachcr

Hi,
If the Tapo D225 is powered by hardwire rather than battery and the continuous record settings are configured, please go to the camera's playback > SD card page, find the video showing your car pulling into the driveway, but the camera does not detect it, then download the video to your phone and send it to us for analysis.
How can I store the Tapo camera video recordings on a microSD card
You can upload the videos to your cloud server (such as Google Drive) or YouTube, generate download links, and send them to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

On the Tapo app > Home tab > Bell icon > your camera's notification page, can you receive notifications when your car pulls into the driveway at night?

Best Regards
