Model: Archer GE800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.2.1

I've signed up for the HomeShield Security+ for my GE800, but see no mention of a DDOS setting anywhere (in the Tether app or the router's menus), like even to enable/disable it. Forum searches reveal nothing.

Am I just missing it in an obvious place?

Hello @BizSAR, welcome to post in the TP-Link community.

TP-Link HomeShield, here we mainly refer to Security+, provides comprehensive security protection options, including:

  • Web Protection: block access to malicious websites to avoid dangerous links and personal information disclosure.
  • Intrusion Prevention: identify potential threats and keep your network safe from attacks.
  • IoT Protection: block hackers from accessing your IoT devices.

IoT Protection is the feature you're looking for, and it includes measures to help mitigate DDoS attacks. Enabling IoT Protection enables continuous monitoring of traffic for suspicious activity. It can detect anomalies and take action to block potential threats, such as unauthorized access attempts.

To understand how to configure IoT Protection, please visit How to use the HomeShield Real-Time Protection on a TP-Link Router/Deco.

Please let me know if you have further concerns.
