Model: RE220
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0

I guess I am little confused by the re220. I thought I could connect this via network cable to my switch on the other side of the house and extend my WiFi coverage but I guess the Ethernet port is an output for a device ? I am

also wanting to make it a mesh system and extend the current SSID. Re220 wants to make the SSID as to link extender.  Can I change that to my existing SSID?

Hello@Rubberman ,

Welcome to our community.

The RE220's Ethernet port can be used as either an output or input port for different purposes, corresponding to the Range Extender mode and Access Point mode.

How to configure Range Extender via Tether APP

How to setup Access Point Mode of Range Extender

As for Mesh, the router and extender need to use the same Mesh technology to form a Mesh network.
