Model: Archer GE800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.2 Build 20250703 rel.52978(5553)

This is Just FYI for gaming latency:

If you install the router and just turn on the AI QoS and leave it be its ok however you are leaving every device with unlimited bandwidth. So when I run buffer bloat test on my pc for example I was getting around 30ms (waveform buffer bloat test). Which was grading it at B. So lets say you are downloading something on your PC and you are trying to play CS at the same time, the QoS will maintain somewhat bandwitch but you will feel latency and a constant lag spike.

I suggest you to go to devices(Network Map > Clients) and place every device a bandwidth limit including your own PC/laptop etc. Here I will give you an example.
I have 1 Gig Fiber for my home. On every device like Phones, Firesticks , Smart Tv , Thermostat etc i gave 100mbps up and down. For our PC/Laptops I gave them 300 and for my own personal 800mbps up and down.

Now when i go do a waveform bloat buffer test my latency went from 30ms(Just QoS)  to 8-10 some times 10-12ms(Bandwidth Limit) and I went from Grade B to Grade A. I tested multiple.

Hello @IvanRusev, thank you very much for sharing your experience with the AI QoS feature on the GE800.

I'm just curious about the AI QoS settings on your GE800.

Is it in Auto Mode or Manually Set Mode? If it is on Manually Set, what are the Scenes settings?

Please share some screenshots for better visibility.

@IvanRusev

Thank you very much for the screenshot. So it's in Manually Set Mode.

I have previously checked with our development team that the new official firmware for GE800 is on its way, which would optimize the AI QoS performance.

Please wait and check for the updates via the router's web interface or through the Tether App to install the latest version manually.

  @Kevin_Z

You know Kevin, that was also the case for my previous Asus ROG gaming Router it was Wifi6 router. And even with QoS when another laptop or computer in my home start to download I can feel it in CS 2 it shows that the ping is slightly higher like 30-40 ms or so but in really lag spikes happens and it's near impossible to play.

It is absolutely the same behavior on the GE800.

I just think that it's similar or same QoS implementation and thats what it is. The thing is this behavior is only when a PC or Laptop starts to download and that machine is capable of downloading with my max ISP speed, if let's say fire stick tries to download but it can't max my Bandwidth then I no problems.

With the GE800 I went a step ahead and tested the buffer bloat with QoS and with Hard Bandwidth Limit just to see myself and definatly when every device have a hard limit on bandwidth the buffer bloat test acts with much lower ms. Later on I'll let my PC start to download a large file and I will try and play CS 2, and see if the hard limit helps better than just QoS. But I am pretty positive that will be the case.
