No FW update for XE75 for >6 months
No FW update for XE75 for >6 months

HW version is listed as HW version US/2.6. The Deco app gets frequent updates but not the FW. Is this router no longer supported? Should I replace it? I bought it thru Amazon in 2024 as TP-Link Deco XE75 AXE5400 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Mesh System.

@Cme Version 2.6 is not on the EOL list. Version 2.0 stopped being sold (EOS) 5/31/2025 with a projected EOM 5/31/2028, (after which it would be unsupported). I'm not sure why they haven't released a firmware in so long, but it is best to post your concern here (if you have a specific concern,) and @ one of the moderators/TP-Link employees, which they typically respond quickly.

Yes,I see that HW version 2.6 is not on the EOL/EOS list and that version 2.0 ended on 05/31/2025.
I am concerned as previous routers from Asus and Netgear received updates more often than this one. Do you think I should start a new post about or is it likely one of the moderators will see this post? I thought that typically routers are supported for 3 years after EOL. I would like to know why they are not updating their FW as often as other brands. Thank you for your help.

I would assume since HW 2.6 isn't on the list that you have some time left before you get to the EOL of your product. You can either make new post but I recommenced just sending a message to one of the TP-Link staff :)

@Cme As @HelpFixDecoApp kindly shared (somewhere on this forum) TP-Link has an end of production/sale date, when you can no longer order that specific version number, and 3 years later it will be End of Maintenance (which is ASUS equivalent of EOL), excluding cases where the law of your specific country requires longer maintenance...
If you are experiencing any type of issue post it, and if you need urgent attention @ a moderator.
I remember a long time ago when I would wait for an issue and then check for a firmware update. Lots of respect for them as they seemed to monitor that, find a problem, and update the firmware. I always check for updates and they finally realized I was just checking...
Anyways no 2.6 is the latest version and I would not personally worry. Once 3.0 shows on the Support firmware download then they might put 2.6 on End of Sale, then add three years to that.

@Cme The way TP-Link does things is why I only bought a single Deco BE95, (I split a 2-pack with a friend to save money). When a new version comes out I will try to buy another....

Thank you for the link. "Deco XE75 is still our WiFi 6E Hero series, and the engineers are actively working on improving this model to provide updates and support. The current firmware release schedule has been a bit delayed, but it is not at the end of the software support cycle. Sorry for the inconvenience." I am not sure I would consider >6 months without an update "a bit". But I will wait.
