Deco Mesh Wifi7 not connecting to hp 8600 hp printer

Went to use my printer first time since upgrading from orbi mesh , used same log in credentials on deco so as not to have to reset all devices to a new log on .
hp8600 printer wont connect getting a "no Filtering" FAIL message
Cant find a deco setting to turn off a filter ????
And no I cant run a cable easily to it as an option .
So no settings changes , just upgrade to newer mesh and no no connection
btw my Brother laser printer no issues connecting right up
only thing is that doesnt print in color .

@anonymousOne I see with a lot of HP printers they don't support the WPA3 Wi-Fi security which prevents it from connecting to a WPA3 only network. If your network is currently set to WPA3 only then that could be the problem. Downgrading your Wi-Fi security to WPA3/WPA2 or WPA2 will reduce your network security but it might fix your problem. Proceed that with caution though.
You can change the Wi-Fi security by going into the Deco app --> Wi-Fi Settings --> tapping on your Wi-Fi name --> Advanced --> Security.

@anonymousOne Another option is to reset your network settings on your printer and then connect to the Wi-Fi again from scratch. This especially may need to be done if Deco App --> More --> Advanced --> Fast Roaming --> Fast Roaming is enabled.

I have this exact same problem with this same printer.
I have not tried your solution yet, but if I switch my WPA to a lower security level to get the printer connected, can I switch the WPA back to the default once the printer is connected, or will it knock the printer off the network?
Thank in advance.

@OverlyStressed1 Switching the Wi-Fi security protocol back to to WPA3 after connecting with WPA2 will then cause the printer to disconnect and you won't be able to reconnect it until you lower the Wi-Fi security protocol back to WPA2.

@OverlyStressed1 I also would do this.

@anonymousOne What is the status of the old Orbi system? Can you take the primary router unit and set it up as an Access Point wired to the nearest Deco to the printer?

We would need more information. @anonymousOne , based on what I have found, this printer does not support WPA3. Therefore, you would need to enable either WPA2/WPA3 or just WPA2 on your wireless network. Additionally, this may be a MAC Binding issue, where your printer is still bound to the Orbi's MAC. I would recommend resetting the printer and reconfiguring it so that it binds to the MAC of the Deco.
