Model: Tapo D225
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.19 build 250320 Rel.42136n

The D225 doorbell is the best unit I have had. But here is a problem I have not solved.

When viewing the Tapo App with my iPhone on Cellular connection the D225 video and all functions perform flawlessly. Playback and full resolution.

When I am home and my phone is on local LAN there are severe connection issues. It will usually connect to the doorbell user interface, but very slow. Most functions time out.

It pops up with Slow connection warnings. "Error try again later..."

I have the D225 installed and hardwire powered in allways on mode.

Firmware is latest 1.1.19 build 250320 Rel.42136n  hardware ver 1.0

It is on a local network wireless 2.4g on an Asus Nighthawk 120 with a

I have tried my phone on 2.5 and 5g wireless lan and it makes no difference.

Also setting the D225 in 960P instead of 2k QHD makes no difference in connectivity.

The D225 camera account is on and is outputting RTSP to a home DVR as well. Turning this on and off makes no difference

Motion notifications are passed throught to my iPhone actively in either lan or cellular configuration

Just slow and unresponsive at home on wifi lan.

I really like this doorbell but this issue is stumping me.

Please let me know any suggestions.
