When I logged on to check the firmware versions, I found that there were updates available for all of the routers in my mesh. I've just updated them all. Here are the firmware versions:

Firmware Version 1.0.5 Build 20250519 rel.35329(5553)

Hardware Version Archer BE9700 v1.0

Latest Firmware Version 1.0.7 Build 20251027 rel.50074

Archer AX21
1.1.2 Build 20250115 Rel. 56488
1.1.3 Build 20250904 Rel. 60739

Archer BE230
1.2.1 Build 20250804 rel.79639
1.2.5 Build 20260108 rel.68570

It's too soon to say if that matters for the traffic volumes. It currently shows the past 3 days totals of 3.4pb download and 1pb upload (pretty impressive; you't think that would melt the wires :-)).

After a couple days with the updated firmware, the traffic numbers are still crazy, but not as crazy as before. It's back to the terabit range instead of petabits that it was earlier in the week.

Hello @WJCarpenter ,

Thanks for contacting us again.

Have you tried this beta firmware?  Archer BE550 Pro_V2/Archer BE9700_V1_1.0.7 Build 20260203(Beta Firmware)

As I know, the 1.1.1 will be released, which will fix this anomaly. So you can also wait for the new 1.1.1 version.

@Joseph-TP thanks for the info. I haven't tried that beta. I think I'll just wait for the official release.
