TCP port 1720 open
Hi all,
I’m running a Deco BE11000 (firmware 1.1.7) and noticed something odd when scanning open ports on my router. The device is listening on TCP port 1720.
From what I understand, 1720 is typically used for H.323 call signaling (legacy VoIP/video conferencing), but I haven’t knowingly enabled any services like that. The only custom configurations I have on the Deco are:
An incoming VPN server
An outgoing VPN client for one desktop
No other special features are turned on.
Does anyone know why the Deco would be listening on 1720 by default? Is this part of the firmware (maybe some ALG or VoIP helper service), or something I should be concerned about? If it’s not needed, is there a way to disable it?
Thanks in advance!
