Love this router for hotel security but when I use this device I can't connect to my home Eufy system. If i turn the router off and use the hotel wifi, i can connect fine, once I connect to the router, I can no longer view live feed from my cameras. Everything else works fine, web surfing, youtube videos,ect.  Any help is  appreciated.

 Hi @A6fixer,

Welcome to the community!

Thank you for sharing your experience with our new Wi-Fi 7 Travel Router. I'm glad to hear it has improved your hotel network security experience.

Which operating mode is being used for the Travel Router when you encounter this phenomenon?

How are you attempting connect to your home Eufy system? For example, via the Eufy app?

When the connection to your Eufy system fails, do you receive any kind of error message or notification? If so, what does it say?

  @A6fixer Thanks for the reply. I was using the router as a hotspot. I access my cameras using the Eufy app. On hotel wifi, access was no issue, once I connected to the router, no connection and would  get a error from Eufy stating to check homebase for power or ensure the ethernet cable is installed correctly. I must say that the router greatly enhances internet security and did indeed increase my internet speed on mine and my wife's laptop's, I was impressed.Thanks again for your help.

  @A6fixer

Glad to hear your overall network experience was vastly improved by using the Travel Router!

Regarding your Eufy Homebase concerns, I wonder if it relates to Eufy potentially using P2P connectivity instead of Cloud (from what I can tell). Since you used the TL-WR3602BE in Hotspot Router Mode and it was behind another network (the hotel's), I suspect it might have created a Double NAT scenario. This can potentially interfere with network traffic protocols and port forwarding.

If you still have the option to try, I recommend temporarily placing the device you use to access the Eufy app (such as your smartphone) into the DMZ on the Travel Router, then see if the Eufy app shows the same message using the steps in this FAQ.

Alternatively, if you'd rather not DMZ your smartphone, you might be able to find the specific ports your Eufy Homebase uses, then set up Port Forwarding rules in the TL-WR3602BE to see if that addresses the behavior: Port forwarding: How to set up Virtual Servers on a TP-Link wireless router

Wednesday

  @Ryan Thanks, I've got a week long trip coming up so I'll try your recommendations and do some troubleshooting on my own if the problem continues. Worse case, I'll keep mine and the wife's laptops on the hotspot and keep the phones on verizon's network for the cameras. Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.
