RE2700X V1.60 Wired Backhaul Mesh Problem

Model: RE270K
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: RE2700X(USW)_V1.6_1.1.9 Build 20240426

I have a RE2700 V1.6 Extender that is wired to my BE800 router and it only works correctly in Access point mode.  I am unable to use it as a mesh device like all my other Extenders.  I also notice that there have been no firmware updates since the original firmware that they shipped with.  This model doesn't even come up in the Model field when submitting a support thread on this forum, I was forced to select RE270K which is not the correct model number.  Does wired easymesh backhaul not work on the devices or are they just in need of a firmware upgrade?

This page helps orient you on which device supports EasyMesh.  Unfortunately only some support EasyMesh with Ethernet Backhaul.  Only one extender shows up when Supported, Range Extender, and Ethernet Backhaul are all three selected.  It appears V2 supports EasyMesh but only with wireless backhaul.

I have a Deco BE95 and an Archer AX55 Pro in the same network, and RE235BE and RE605X V1.6.  Both REs are in Access Point mode.  (Close enough for me, although I do get dropped to mobile data at times on my OnePlus Open phone)...
