Model: Archer AX3000
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: Latest as of November 7, 2025

I just installed a new router. My Archer C7 AC1750 router died so I replaced it with an AX3000 router and managed to successfully connect it to my two Windows 10 desktops via the Ethernet. And I have no idea what WiFi 6 is.

QUESTION 1: When I log into my router I’m asked to type in my Local Password. My memory is bad and I have to look up the passwords each time I want to log in. Is there a way to make that automatic so I don’t have to look it up each time I log into the router?

QUESTION 2: The AC1750 WEB-BASED MANAGEMENT UTILITY had explanations in its right-hand column but the AX3000 doesn’t have that. Are they available and if so, how can I enable them?

QUESTION 3: At the end of the Setup mode I see “Success!” I also see that 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs and their passwords are identical. How do I set up the 5Gz portion?

QUESTION 4: Is there some kind of on-line manual for this router?

I just reviewed some old threads I posted and found out how to separate 2.4 from 5 GHz. So that problem is no more!

  @Skeezicks

1. You always want a strong password on your router. Best to get a password manager. There are some good free ones such as bitwarden. Also you could write the password on a piece of tape and tape it to the router. Be sure not to cover any holes.

2. Do not know.

3. Done.

4. At the top of your post, click on the model number. Then click on support near the top of page. Now select version 1. You should see the link for the user manual.
