I understand that you are trying to add multiple port forwarding rules for a device with a static IP on your Deco Mesh system, but you are encountering issues with the app prompting you to reserve a fixed IP and then not allowing you to save the new rule.
Here’s how port forwarding works on Deco:
Port Forwarding allows you to make specific devices or services on your home network accessible from the internet by forwarding external requests to designated internal devices or ports. This is commonly used for gaming, remote desktop, web servers, and similar applications.
To set up Port Forwarding on Deco (in Router mode):
1. Open the Deco app and go to MORE > Advanced > NAT Forwarding > Port Forwarding.
2. Tap the "+" button to add a new port forwarding rule.
3. When you select a device, the Deco app will automatically create an address reservation (fixed IP) for that device. This is necessary because port forwarding requires the device to always have the same IP address.
4. If you encounter prompts about reserving a fixed IP or clearing an existing reservation, follow the on-screen instructions. If the "Save" button is grayed out, try restarting the app or your phone, or ensure the device is currently connected to the Deco network.
5. For detailed step-by-step instructions, please refer to this FAQ: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1797/
Notes:
• Port Forwarding is only available in Router mode. It is not available in Access Point mode.
• When you create a port forwarding rule, Deco will automatically reserve an IP for the device to ensure the rule works reliably.
• If you have trouble saving the rule, double-check that the device is online and that there are no conflicting reservations or port rules.
If you continue to experience issues with the app not allowing you to save the rule, please try updating the Deco app and firmware to the latest version. If the problem persists, contact TP-Link support with details about your Deco model, firmware version, and the exact steps you are taking.
