Opening Port 8883 for MyQ
I have a Chamberlain garage door opener with a camera. The camera works but the MyQ connection to the internet has not since I got the BE63 routers. I had I think X15 prior that worked fine.
Near as I can tell it requires communication via port 8883. I am at a loss as to where or how to open this up. I have spent over an hour on tech support and we tried everything else with this being the one thing that was brought up but I have no idea how to set it up or change it.
Any ideas appreciated.

I understand that you want to open port 8883 on your Deco Mesh system.
To do this, you will need to set up Port Forwarding for port 8883 through the Deco app. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Open the Deco app on your mobile device.
2. Go to MORE > Advanced > NAT Forwarding > Port Forwarding.
3. Tap the "+" icon to add a new port forwarding rule.
4. Select the device on your network that you want to forward port 8883 to.
5. Enter 8883 as both the internal and external port (unless your application requires a different internal port).
6. Choose the correct protocol (TCP, UDP, or both) as required by your application.
7. Save your settings.
Notes:
• Port Forwarding is only available when your Deco is in Router mode. If your Deco is set to Access Point mode, this feature will not be available.
• When you create a port forwarding rule, the Deco app will automatically reserve the IP address for the selected device to ensure the port forwarding continues to work reliably.

I have about given up on this. I opened the port and no difference. I changed my network name and password. I have unplugged the unit, and the battery backup, several times. All I get is everything goes as the instructions say it should and at best I get beeps about 1 second apart till I give up and unplug it again. Nothing seems to make a difference.
The camera can be seen on my phone but none of the other WiFi items work. No notices of the door open or closed. I am sure I have wasted a couple hours on this. Typical technology. It is 5 years old and won't work with the new stuff or I am to dumb to make it work.

I have 2 Chamberlin openers with MyQ (no camera) on my BE 63's haven't needed to change or forward anything. They only work of 2.4 bands.

@BritG1 Nice to know they work. I have a 2.4 network band and I even set up a guest account using the 2.4 seperately and still could not get a connection. Everything beeps and clicks as it says but the final hook up never happens.
