Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20241014 rel.59971(5553)

I have been using Archer AX55 for over a month now. I had set the 5GHz

channel           = 153

channel width = 20/40/80MHz

mode              = 802.11a/n/ac/ax mixed

I have been using the above and everything was working fine till this morning. Now suddenly, the 5GHz ssid is not showing up anywhere - not in my phone, nor in my laptop. I have restarted the router, set and reset the 5GHz, changed the 5GHz channel to auto. But none of it is working. The green light in front for 5GHz is lit. Not sure what might have gone wrong. Did the router suddenly go bad?

Channel 153 requires DFS, meaning it shares frequencies with radar systems. If radar is detected, the router must vacate the channel, which can lead to temporary disconnections.

Re:5GHz suddenly stopped showing
Yesterday

@ArcherC8

In US, (36, 40, 44, 48, 149, 153, 157, 161, 165) are non-DFS channels.It has been working for more than a month without any disconnection. SSID simply disappeared yesterday. I tried to reactivate the SSID again through tether / web. Both these apps showed the 5GHz SSID as being active and the green light on the router for 5GHz also lit.

Finally, I reset the router to default settings by inserting pin into the reset button on the back. Then went through the setup that I had before including the same 5GHz channel 153 and the same SSID name. It's working back again. But this disapperance is really concerning.
