Wireless printer connections issues
Getting this error from trying to connect my wireless Epson NX430 to the mesh network.
"Multiple network names (SSID) that match your entered network name have been detected"
I've seen some other threads on this, but not seeing details on how to conect. Please help

Hi @Charlie_B
Welcome to the community!
It sounds like the printer is at least succeeding in detecting your Mesh SSID, but because there are multiple nodes broadcasting the same Mesh SSID, the printer is showing you this message.
To me, the printer message reads more like a notification than an error―is there an option like "OK" or "Proceed" or "Continue" when the message appears? If so, I'd recommend selecting one of those to proceed to the next step, which, in theory, should allow you to connect the printer to the nearest SSID of your Mesh Network.

Thanks for reviewing.
Yes - it sees 3 nodes. I highlight one. Go through the steps of entering the password. It "thinks" for a bit then reads: Connection Failed. It allows me to print up a summary. In the summary it states the following:
- Multiple network names (SSID) that match your entered network name have been detected. Confirm network name.
- MAC Address Filtering Check - failed
I do the same with the other 2 "nodes". Same result.
Does that help to be able to fix the issue?

Thanks for the extra details!
This one in particular caught my eye:
- MAC Address Filtering Check - failed
Do you have Wi-Fi Access Control enabled on your Deco BE63? If so, which mode is it in ― Block List Mode or Allow List Mode?
If you're unsure, you can check by opening the Deco app, selecting More -> Wi-Fi Access Control. From here, it should show the current Mode.

Hello @Ryan,
Yes, I checked that too. It's currently in "Block List Mode" and there are "no blocked clients yet".

Thanks for confirming. It sounds like the Deco is configured correctly for your printer to connect.
Which method are you using to connect the printer to the network? Are you using setup software on a PC? Or are you using the on-screen setup on the printer itself?
By the way, if you haven't already, it may be worthwhile to perform a factory reset on the printer (to clear its network settings, including any potentially conflicting settings) and try connecting again to see if that allows it to join the network.

Hello,
I reset all settings to factory defaults as suggested and tried to set up again. Didn'twork. Same errors as listedin prior posts.
To answer your question on where I'm trying to set up the wireless on the printer; Since I can't connect to the computer via wireless, it's not through it. Using the "Wireless Setup Wizard" on the printer screen.

In that case, here's a few recommendations:
1. Try WPS (if you haven't already); it may help circumvent the error your printer is displaying. How to enable WPS function on Deco
2. If WPS doesn't work, check some of the Wi-Fi settings, such as:
- 2.4 GHz Encryption: Make sure the 2.4 GHz network is using an encryption protocol that is compatible with the Wi-Fi chip in the NX450, which may potentially only support up to WPA2, given its age. How to change the Wireless Settings on your Deco app
- Fast Roaming: Open the Deco app, then select More -> Advanced -> Fast Roaming. Toggle it "Off" and try connecting the printer again.
3. If those don't work, I'd suggest making things as simple as possible to help accommodate the printer:
- Unplug power from all satellite Deco nodes, leaving only the main node online.
- Using the Wireless Setup Wizard, re-scan and attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi network. Theoretically, it should only see the one SSID at that point, since only one node is online.
- If the printer successfully connects, you can then power up the satellites, and your printer should remain connected to the network (hopefully).
Hopefully one of these does the trick!
