Can’t speed test?

Model: RE220
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.23 Build 230418 Rel. 60395n

Tether app tells me RE220 is "Working well," but when I try to run an Ookla speed test I get the error message "Can't reach Speedtest. Check your internet connection and try again." What gives?

Hello @Elevensbest ,

Welcome to our community.

Have you tested different clients for the RE220 network? Can they access the network? If not, please try the following steps:
1) Disconnect from the extender Wi-Fi, then connect directly to your home router's Wi-Fi to test whether you can access Speedtest and run the speed test successfully.
2) Reset and reconfigure your RE220. Here are the detailed instructions:
   • How to reset: How to Factory Reset Your TP-Link Router
   • How to reconfigure: How to configure my Range Extender via Web GUI

Best Regards.
