Archer 5400 v1 Feature Request/Firmware Availibility
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
So I bought an Archer 5400 v1 router a year or so ago, believing I was getting a great, higher end consumer router. Peroformance has been solid since then and I've not had too many issues with it. Here's the rub, the need has arisen to control how certain devices on my network access the internet and what sites they go to. I go into the management web portal to see what options I have. All I see and can control is when a certain device can get to the Internet, that's it. Older versions of TPLINK devices support MUCH more firewall functionality and the ability to control what devices to get what websites and when. This firmware, IMO, is a step back in time, especially for a $300 device!! Does TP Link plan on adding more of this functionality to the v1 router? I see there is newer firmware being released for the v2 router that has some of the needed features, but no love for v1 users.
