Model :

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version :

ISP :

Deco M5 3-pack
Cable modem -> M5(A) -> switch -> M5(B) / M5(C)

I set up the M5's in three different rooms, originally connected via wifi. The house is wired with Cat5e, so I connected the 2nd and 3rd M5s by wire. SpeedTest shows ~60-70Mb/s when connected with wifi. Speed stays the same or DROPS by 10-20Mb/s when connected by wire.

Connecting a laptop directly to the room's ethernet jack (where the satellite M5 was connected) shows speeds around 60-70Mb/s. So, it's not the house wiring.

No Dlink switches; I'm using TP-Link switches.

Yes, my cable modem provider caps out at 70Mb/s down, 6Mb/s up.

Any thoughts?

I had the same problem today. Newest FW for all my Decos and my Cable speed droped to around 50 Mb/s, while i have 350 Mb/s connection.

After reseting all decos to factory and using different unit as Main Deco internet speed over Lan is back to normal. Wondering if this will happen again.

Using Tplink 1Gbit switch and decos. Any1 has some idea why is this happening?

@mageus

I had the same problem, reason was the ethernet cable.

An old, long cable passed about 100 Mbps, a shorter one 300 Mbps.

I didn't know that cables can have such speed differences.
