4 ports out of 7 on UH720 not working
I have a 7 USB Hub, with 2 charging points on the side. The first 4 USB ports counting from the side of the power button do not work. There is no light on the HUb showing something is plugged in and my computer does not recognize anything is plugged into it. The last 3 work fine.

TP-LINK UH720 USB 7 port HUB S/N 219AA19002898 UN/3.0
If I connect my laptop to any of 7 USB ports, the switch on light goes on, even if not connected to 220V. When I connect to 220V and presst switch on button: the light goes on.
The problem: I connected my laptop with all seven ports, and also tested all seven ports with a cable connected to my scanner – but none worked. The same test is positive with my older 4 USB ports adapter (a very cheap version).
Please advise.

It seems to be a USB3.0 / USB 2.0 Problem.
When i Use the UH720 on usb 3.0 port at my PC everything works fine.
But when I use it on usb2.0 Port only usb 2.0 devices are accepted by the UH720
But you can trick it by inserting the USB 3.0 device veeery slowly in the hub, that only the usb 2.0 pins are connected.
The hub will check if its 2.0 or 3.0 and register the stick as 2.0.
But when you reboot the UH720 you have to reinsert all usb 3.0 fixtures.
@TP-Link maybe it can be fixed by a firmwareupdate?

Hi,
I puchased a UH720 USB Multiplier hub and happy with it up to now.
But, the power switch nowadays keeps device always on although i push it to switch off several times which was able for ON/OFF at the beginning.
I can only switch it off by pulling the power cable now.
Any help is appreaciated,
Regards,
.
