Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 3.15.3 Build 180114 Rel.39265n

I have service with Xfinity in San Jose, CA. I am using a D-link DCM301 cable modem connected to my Archer C7 V2. I am unable to get IPV6 working with this setup. When i connect my Windows PC directly to the DCM301, i can get external IPV6 connectivity (https://test-ipv6.com/). When i reconnect my archer c7 and power cycle everything, i do not have IPV6 connectivity. I have enabled IPV6 in the router.

On WAN Settings:

1. Set WAN Connection type to DHCPv6

2. Choose "Get IPV6 prefix delegation"

3.  Get IPV6 DNS server automatically

On LAN Settings:

1. On IP address assign type: "DHCPV6 server"

Does anyone have a working IPV6/Cable modem setup with this router ?

That is the same WAN IPv6 settings I have on my Archer C8 and I use Xfinity in the Orlando area. I get an IPv6 connection. On my LAN IPv6 setting which are grayed out I have assign type as SLAAC and address prefix as two : as it seems like when I set it up I have to set that also. After making your changes, power cycle the router and then see if you have IPv6.

@ArcherC8 Thank you for your sugegstion. I tried switching "IPV6 Address assign type" To SLAAC and that got ipv6 working on my PC. Also confirmed with Ping and tracert on external sites using IPV6
