I thought we were told that the AX3000/AX50 routers were going to have the ability to join a onemesh network starting the first quarter of 2020? Any updates on when this might happen?

@Matts175

Nothing yet but now that the RE505X is launching i would anticipate soon.  Website updates are typcially done every friday.  I would check beck mid-afternoon on Fridays or anytime there after and see if a new update has been added.  It will be in the FW's release notes.

@Matts175 I have the same question too.  Have you heard or seen any update since?  I don't see anything.

@Matts175 Same here Guys.. I'm facing issue with 40+ devices in my network using Archer C7 v5.. I bought AX50, but need OneMesh, and it's still powered off inside it box.

Archer C7 v5 doen't handle my workload lab.. around 25 vms throught the cable with tp-link switch, and around 15 devices using wireless.. the Archer C7 CPU always 90/100%..

and sometimes it's stuck and bring down my PPPoE down, and because don't has cpu resource, can't handle workload and can't connect throught PPPoE again.

Anything yet? I want to get 2 RE505X... but if we aren't getting onemesh any time soon, there would be no point.

@ Matts175

Hello man ..

I'm really sad to say that, but AX50 and AX3000 has intel CPU. All of repeaters from TP-Link (at least that I have knowledge) has been using another Chip (Atheros or Broadcom).

I mean that they don't have compatibility with AX50 or AX3000 routers, so .. OneMesh with this device not gonna happen.

I sold my AX3000 this week and bought AX6000 .. Hope that new firmware be released soon for this one.

If am wrong, please, let-me know .. but I think because of that, they remove both (AX50 / AX3000) from OneMesh devices compatibility list.

I think that they made a mistake when they put its there.

Regards.

I don't think this is true. Archer C6(Qualcomm) works just fine with RE205(Mediatek) [OneMesh]. I think RE505X is designed to work with AX20, and RE605/607x is for AX50. I'm waiting for WPA3 for AX50, it's more important for me.
