I heard the AX50 runs warm but it does get pretty hot to the touch.  Had it sitting on a wooden stand so maybe that was absorbing the heat.  The solution I am trying is an old Belkin laptop cooler.  It has raised sides with a "scoop" in the middle with a fan.  The router fits right over the scoop on the raised edges to create air flow underneath.  I have the fan plugged into the USB port on the router for now but have a USB extension cord coming so I can just plug it into the USB on my surge protector.  With the fan and the air flow, the router is now cool to the touch.  Anyone else with a similar experience?

@Brad_L

I use mine with a Noctua NF-A12x25 5V PWM and NA-FC1, very poor designed.

@-King-

Similar set up here.  Just wondering if that fan will hold out 24/7/365.

Router works well, just gets hot.
