Model: RE230
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20200030 Rel. 70564

I recently bought a RE230 to work with my AC1750 (Archer A7) router, and it worked fine at first. A few days later, the power blinked for a second at my house, and now it won't connect to the 2.4 GHz host network while using OneMesh (I have no idea if the 2 are related...I just know that I didn't notice this issue until after the power blinked). The light for 2.4 on the extender doesn't light up at all, and the Tether app tells me that it lost connection with the host network. Oddly, though, it will connect to 2.4 when OneMesh is turned off, I've rebooted it and restored factory defaults and set it up again, and the same issue occurs over and over again. I would prefer OneMesh on since that's why I bought this extender. Each time I try to turn OneMesh on or off, Tether tells me that it can't log me in. It lets me in a few seconds later, but I can't connect to 2.4 with OneMesh on.

Does anyone have advice for how to fix this problem? Thanks!

@Dr.Rabbit

Were all methods tried? https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2509/

Factory defaulting the extender by holding the reset for 15 seconds while it is plugged in?

@Tony Hi, I experience the same with a RE200 extender, after buying a OneMesh compatible router. No 2.4ghz connection in mesh mode. Older devices without 5ghz capability are unable to connect the extender.

Have you found any solution?
