several things cause 100 speed. The Ethernet cable needs to be CAT 5e, CAT 6, or better. A bad cable can cause the issue as 100 use four wires and faster speeds uses all 8 wires. Some routers have a speed setting that needs to be changed. Your computer may have a limit due to either a setting or hardware limit. Connect your computer direct to the modem with an Ethernet cable and see what speed you get.

Connecting to the modem directly is just a test to ensure the issue is with the router and not the PC, Ethernet cables, modem, or ISP as they all can be the issue. Your speed will only be as fast as the slowest link. Also 100 is sort of a magic number as the signal changes for faster speeds and each of the above can have that limit.

@ArcherC8 I mean.. i had to make sure which was the issue... if it was the modem, the router or the cable.. but attaching directly to the modem gave me the exact 150.. shouldnt the router be able to give the same as well? and during the test phase I did, no one was using the connection but me

@Zion14

Did you use the same cable from the PC to the modem as from the PC to the router? That would test the cable capability. If you used the one from the modem to the router it would be a CAT6 probably and capable of over 100Mbps.

I looked at the emulator for V1.2 and I'll assume when you enter the Router GUI it looks like this:

On the above CLICK on the AX1500 and then scroll down the screen on find the Ethernet Status:

This is off the Emulator, not true representation of the speeds that you'll see.

However, whatever LAN port the PC is connected too should read 1000Mbps of you have a CAT6 or better cable. If it should read 100Mbps, the cable is the problem.
