Deco X90 firmware will not update at all with Manual or Auto update.  Auto says I'm already up to date from app and browser and it's obvious that the Canadian and US sites have a newer version of the firmware as per below.  Manual update, when using the files from Canada and US sites, just comes back with “Upgrade failed.  Please select the latest version of firmware to upgrade.”  I have 4 Deco X90's and I've tried 3 of them as the main router all with the same results.  I've factory reset twice which includes reinitiating the app and same issue occurs.  I cannot get this firmware updated and the current Deco's show (1.0.4 Build 20201211 Rel. 64572) as the firmware version where below the US and Canada sites have a newer version.  

 

App says that the firmware is the latest at (1.0.4 Build 20201211 Rel. 64572) including when trying to update it over the web browser using Auto update.

 

Downloading the firmware from the US or Canadian site, shows two different versions as follows.  Do I need to rename the filenames to apply it manually?  I have a case opened with support and they asked to try another PC which I have with same results and to try to reset the system and app which I have twice.

Trying to update over the Web Gui, by doing a manual update, results in “Upgrade failed.  Please select the latest version of firmware to upgrade.”  Clearly, there are two newer versions of the firmware but both Auto and Manual firmware updates do not work.  Auto says latest is running and manual fails with the previously mentioned message.

 

Please help before I ultimately return this product.  Thanks ALL.

Anybody know how I can access a factory reset Deco X90 to get to it over LAN ip at its default address.  Trying to see if I can use that firmware update method to get the units to the latest level.  I've tried 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 with 255.255.252.0 and 255.255.255.0 as default subnets but no luck.

Oh well.  Boxing up this garbage and returning it.  Seems like a dead end with support and not being able to update firmware on units seems like a pretty basic and fundamental part of any electronics nowadays.  No response from tp-link from opened ticket and numerous chat attempts.  No sense wasting any further time here.
