How can I set my archer ax90 router so that it doesn't add clients without my approval?

nevermind. I found the whitelist option under security on the website not the tether app.

If you only want to connect the devices you know to connect to the router network, you can add those devices to the whitelist under Access Control, then others that are not in the list won't connect to the network without your permission.

 

Go through Chapter 9.1 on page 51 to configure it:
