Archer A7 capped download speed
Issue:
provider (Spectrum) is giving 400~500 Mbps from the modem (verified by provider's technician), but Archer A7 is only giving 200~240 Mbps wired for lan devices (with Cat5e Ethernet cable from modem to router and router to laptop) and 140~150 Mbps for 5G wireless.
Note: the wireless adapter the laptop is using is Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adapter with peak speed 867 Mbps.
Note2: all internet speed test was ran on Spectrum's internet speed test website.
Current Settings (already rebooted after change):
Net Boost: enabled
Nat: enabled
QoS: disabled
Parental Control: disabled
System Parameter>Dulplex: 1000 Mbps full duplex
What setting I'm missing?
Edit 02/25/2024:
Recently there was something happened and my provider's technician had to re-route the entire coaxial cable from the switch outside of my apt.
I talked to this new technician about getting the wrong speed all the time, and he tested again after installing this new cable, it seems like the issue has resolved.
I'm not sure what he did, but I'm using the same modem and same router.
