Model: Deco BE85
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

This became available for the BE95 in recent firmware, it can not be that hard to add it to the BE85, please do so. This router has 2x 10gbe and 2x 2.5gbe ports and still runs at 1500 without the ability to change... I don't understand the decision here.

Hi, Welcome to the community.

I was informed before that the first firmware of Deco BE85 always has added all the features on the latest firmware platform, such as IOT and VPN.

Could you please check here to see whether you are able to find the place to edit the MTU size?

Added the ability to customize the MTU size under Deco APP>More>Internet Connection>Internet Connection Type

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP I can see the option but when attempting to save anything above 1500 it states in red: MTU Size should be between 576 and 1500.

  @findthelorax

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry, I haven't noticed there is a range limitation for the MTU size.

May I know who is your internet service provider since I have seen most of the MTU sizes required by ISP are below 1500?

And have you experienced any issues with the current MTU size?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP I have FidiumFiber, using a 10gbe ONT. I have called and confirmed then do support an MTU of 9000. I am not experience issues with the current size but my understanding is the network can support it so why is it limited if so? I do understand this may not be the normal case for many customers but still I should be allowed to change it.
