MyQ doesn’t connect to Deco WiFi mesh
MyQ doesn’t connect to Deco WiFi mesh
I changed my router from tp-link AX11000 to a Mesh (Deco AEX5300 sold by Costco). All my devices connect with no problems EXCEPT my MyQ Garage Door opener. I have been trying for the last 2 months to no avail. Liftmaster told me that it was incompatible, but my best friend has the same setup I have (same router, same garage door opener) and it works fine. Any suggestions?
PD can I add a regular router (ax1800 tp-link) to my Deco mesh?)
UPDATE: After so much back and forth, It was determined by a local Liftmaster technician that there is something wrong with the motor board. In the end, it was a defective motor. Thanks for all your help! on to buy another garage door opener!

@cwpizarro still not able to connect my Garage Door Opener 8362WLB Liftmaster to my AXE5300 Mesh WiFi 6E Router System. One of the customer service representatives from Liftmaster told me that this system is not compatible which I don't believe, because my best friend has this same setup and it is working perfectly. He even installed a homekit hub and it worked flawlessly.

@cwpizarro I'm still not sure at which step you get stuck when setting up. Can you take some pictures? Also, quick question, when you setup MyQ does your phone connect to the same 2.4Ghz network as the one you're trying to set up MyQ? My suggestion is to temporaty forget 5GHz network from your phone, then go to Deco, change pw of that 5GHz network, now connect your phone to the 2.4GHz network only (don't do dual band for IoT devices cause some devices are very picky when they cannot detect the 2.4GHz band). I had to litterally do this yesterday to set up a Meross smart switch.

@relayman thanks for the response. The motor board was damaged somehow, so it didn't connect to the mesh. I ended up changing it to the 87504-267 model.
working flawlessly
