This is what I found on the Archer BE800:

I think Deco also supports this feature. The 2.4GHz and 5GHz on the main network use the same wireless settings by default and Deco can also balance network demand and assign devices to the optimum band.

  @Garyrh I have the same SSID for the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz and the MLO bands and don't seem to have any problems. The BE85 does not have a option for smart connect. The devices should be able to connect to band that it supports. Smart connect is good for devices that need to be on the same SSID like Apple devices for Air Drop to work.
