Archer AX55 access point mode
Hello !
I have a question before i buy the Archer AX55.
Can i unplug the ethernet cable between my main router and the Archer AX55 once i have configured the WIFI network ? I want the Archer AX55 to connect to the main routeur via WIFI and then connect my devices to it over ethernet. I know it's quite a weird inverted use case :)
Thanks

I do not think the AX55 supports what to want.
What you want is a router with WISP mode. Some repeater and extenders may have the WISP fuctionality.

One example would be TL-WR902AC.
It may not fit your needs as your requirements may need more Ethernet ports, different WIFI, WIFI speed, not available due to where you are located, and such.
Look at router specs for travel routers as most would work. I am sure there are some full featured routers that have WISP, Router, AP, Repeater, and other modes but none come to mind.
