Model: Deco BE63
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Where can I define, which hardware network ports on a BE63 belong to the main and which ones belong to the GUEST network? I have a machine that needs to be hooked up via cable that however cannot have access to the main network.

Gut feeling is, that this is yet another missing function on the Deco devices... Any other thoughts how to achieve this (no, wireless card/usb stick etc. is not an option).

Perhaps via one of those methods:

  1. Using the Device Isolation feature: https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/kb/detail/412694
  2. Assigning the "guest" vlan ID to the interface of the device (via the software of the device).  I understand that Deco uses a separate VLAN ID for the guest traffic on Ethernet backhaul.  Hence, it is possible that the Deco will use the same VLAN ID for guest traffic on regular (non backhaul) Ethernet ports.
