Model: TL-PA7017 KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: ?

I have the TP-Link Kit powerline adapter which I am using to connect an appliance to my netwrk hub. My home has 2 200 Amp main panels for power side by side in my basement. The circuit for my appliance is connected into Panel #1. The circuit for my network hub connects to Panel #2. The two devices do not show pairing LED's when powered up. How can I get this connection made? Is there some sort of coupling device that will provide signal to both panels? This is the first time I a dealing with these issues. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  @MRBahlke

Powerline adapters can communicate across circuts within the same panel but not accross panels.  unfortuently powerline will not work for you.  You might want to look into MoCA though.  It might work in situtions like this.  TP-Link doesn't make any adapters but you can learn more about MoCA here: https://mocalliance.org

  @Carl Thank you for the detailed reply. TP-Link has been very slow to give details about how these systems work. From what I have been able to deduce, these kits will work within one leg of a home electrical system. This is much like the old X-10 appliances I used to play with. I found a coupling capacitor that I could conect between the two hot legs of my home electrical system. This would pass the signal from one leg to the other, allowing communication throughout the house. I am thinking that I have the sae situation, and that if I move one breaker to be on the same phase as the other powerline adapter, they might be able to talk to each other. In the meantime, I will check out the links you have supplied. Thank you very much for your help.
