BE63 Firmware updates are always problematic
Does anyone else have massive issues with BE63 firmware updates? I've been fighting this for almost a year and a half now and I've had issues with every single firmware update I've done to these routers, to the point that they are about to be put out to pasture and replaced with something more reliable. Every time I do an update it completely kills my upload and download speeds for my whole network. If I run the Speedtest on the Deco app it shows the correct speeds up and down for my 2.5Gbps internet I pay for. However anything inside my network running a speed test shows insanely high latency and maybe 1/5 of the speed it should have. Sometimes a simple reboot or reload of the firmware through the web page fixes it, or in some cases like today I've been screwing with it for 2 hours and it's still broken. No one at TP-Link seems to know why it does this, which is why I'm on the verge of moving on to actually reliable equipment. Maybe I'm just having bad luck with hardware/software, but I can't imagine it's just me. Here's a summary of what happened today:
installed 1.2.0 43949 a few weeks ago. On initial install it was broken, but after a reboot it cleared up.
today I installed 1.2.10 42008, everything is broken again.
multiple reboots and reload of firmware and no change.
went back to 1.2.0 43949 that has been working fine, and now it's still broken after multiple reboots and firmware reloads.
I can not continue using a product that has issues at every firmware update and requires hours, or in the past, days of troubleshooting. Every router other than these I've had in the past 20 years just worked, and had zero issues with firmware updates. If anyone has any advice or input please let em know, otherwise these are getting replaced ASAP as I'm done with the drama and nonsense. Thanks.
