I currently have a timer controlling a bathroom fan, but would like to replace the timer with a smart switch so that I can also automatically turn the fan on to help ventilate the house.

 

Is there a way to configure the switch so that when I turn it on, it will turn off automatically after a set time, so that I can keep the current timer functionality?

 

Here are a couple thoughts I had

- switch triggers scene that includes timer function

- switch is used as a trigger for IFTTT, Stringify, etc

Because the Kasa App is not able to be the trigger in IFTTT there is not real way to accomplish what your aksing.  If you are planning on it going on and off the same time everyday then setting up a schedule will be your best bet, otherwise you would have to set a timmer in the app each time you turn it on.
