@j404 That's what I did for both my kitchen and hallway lights. I'm using Lutron Skylark SCL-153P dimmer with the 3 way tp-link. 

@KazaUser  Yes, this kind of works, there is some delay (I've seen 2 seconds) as the slave switch just sends its state to the cloud, that is the "Smart Action".  The slave switch in this case may as well simply be an HS-200, as dimming is not possible.  Would be best if Kasa just made a cheaper product to do this, should be cheaper as it doesn't need the power MOSFETs to dim or switch anything.

So, to wire this up you need:

1. HS-200 - slave switch, replaces one 3 way switch
2. HS-220 - master switch, replaces the dimmer 3 way switch

Easiest to put master switch on the side with the load wire.  If needed you can use one of the travelers to send power to the other switch box where the slave switch is placed, otherwise you just wire-nut off the travelers, you don't need them.  The load side of the slave switch connects to nothing.

The whole notion of a 3-way switch is quaint in the era of home automation.

@Carl would totally beta test 10 of these if you need some reviews. Been itching to pull the trigger on other brands but have been holding out because I love my existing Tp-link switches.

No i can promise you we weren't.  In fact I did mention it prior to Christmas.  Its just that its been heavily requested that CES was a perfect platform to annouce it fully and publically.  As an update it is slated for a late  Q2 early Q3 launch and if that changes I will be happy to update the thread.
