All my switches flash green tplink+velop
Within the past couple of weeks, all of my tplink switches are failing to keep connection, flashing green WiFi led. I have a velop mesh WiFi router. Have tried just about everything I can think of. My guess is an update caused a problem, either the router, or the switches. Anyone else experiencing this??

We haven't seen any reports like that but if the Velop has a service called fast roaming that has been known to have issues with smart devices. Another possible is what we call "smart connect" All Mesh systems have a similar feature. Its where only a single network name is created and used for both bands. Some 2.4GHz devices have issues connecting to this type of network. A fix at least for TP-Link Mesh is to enable guest network and have it broadcast only a 2.4GHz network.
We would also recommend contacting Velop and having them troubleshoot the router.

I've been having the exact same issue for the past several (4?) days. Every kasa / tp-link switch in my house is constantly disconnecting from my linksys velop router. I contacted kasa / tp-link support and was told to reboot my router. I did, and everything was fine... for a few hours. I've now done the reboot 4 times over the past several days, and once again the lights have just started flashing.
This is not a single customer issue. This appears to be an issue somewhere between linksys velop and kasa / tp-link.
I have installed the switches and plugs over the past 18 months at my house, so it is not llike they are old. They are all failing at the same time. No other tech in my house is having any connectivity issues.
Kasa / tp-link support, you need to look into this. If not, let me know so I can remove all of your products from my home and trash them.

I have the same issue. Linksys Velop router and 37 connected tp-link devices.....my switches keep disconnecting and flashing. I just did a whole-home reset of google fiber network box, then the velop router.
I tried doing a hard reset on 2 of the switches and re-adding them and I'm getting an error message that says "incorrect password length". The password is definitely correct.
I appreciate any feedback as I agree after seeing the above, this is not a single user issue. Thank you.

@Carl this doesn't explain the nature of this problem. This is sudden, affects multiple users in the same situation all at once. Has to be related to an update of velop firmware or tplink software or firmware. If we can determine which, we will know whose update is to blame and bark up the right tree. Notably, it is only tplink devices affected in my home, but not all. Certainly my hs200s have the issue. But not one of my non tplink devices are failing. I have at least three other brands. They also all use 2.4.

@Carl additionally with the last post, based on the error message I'm getting when trying to add a new device, it appears theres a problem with the devices ability to connect to the router; not the router itself.
The app isnt even trying to connect the device to the router. I click the "join" button and immediately get the password error message from my previous post. Hope that helps.

Hi Everyone. We did recieve more feedback through other support channels since Monday. This morning we recieved the following message from our R and D team.
Problem Description
Recently we have received some feedback about that some Kasa smart devices would become very unstable and even cannot reconfigure to the Linksys mesh router WHW03 after updating their router to 1.1.10.197424.
Available Solutions
The problem belongs to the Linksys router because the router would send some irregular beacon which causes an unstable issue. Actually, not only TP-Link smart devise but also some other brand’s smart things, like LEFX also influenced by this new Linksys firmware:
We have reported this to Linksys. Should we get any feedback we will provide further updates.

@Carl thank you for that info Carl. That helped me get to a solution where I was able to get all my switches back to a functional state.
If you go to Carl's link above and navigate to page 3 of the responses, there is a post by user 'supsheppy' who shares 2 links. One link is the instructions on how to manually do a firmware installation. The 2nd link is to download a previous version of velop firmware.
I downgraded to the previous version of the firmware provided and all my switches are now back and working as expected. Thanks all!

@ToddD I did revert firmware, which worked. I'd like to see a new firmware solve the problem soon. It has to be affecting a lot of people.
