Archer C7 wired (& wireless) much slower than modem>computer
I recently switched to gigabit Xfinity service, and pulling my hair out to get better speed thru this router.
Hard-wired ethernet from modem (Motorola MB8600) to computer is testing in 600-700 Mbps download range.
When I add the Archer C7, hard-wired from modem to Archer to computer is testing around 130-160 Mbps download range.
Wireless connection is testing around 65-100 Mbps.
Fastest results have been with NAT boost enabled, QoS disabled, MAC Clone using current computer MAC Address, 1000Mbps full duplex (auto-negotiation isn't much different)
Multiple computers used for testing, but the most capable is a 2018 Mac Mini on Mojave.
Cat5e cabling mixed with shielded Cat6 that is installed. Switching to all Cat6 is my next step.
Xfinity has already confirmed that they are delivering proper speed, I'm just losing it once it hits the router...
Any other ideas?
Thanks all! I've picked up a lot in these threads, but haven't found a fix quite yet...
